A comment on Humor from the second link. There are jokes (which are often anachronistic and some groups find jarring and undesirable) and then there is humor which comes from the virtual reality of the situation in the game. This latter thing, I believe, is not only desirable, but necessary to a good game. It’s not only entertains in an acceptable way, but reciprocally reinforces the reality as a character reaction to the virtual situation.
